I mean, imagine a mob of people who are almost like your boss, definitely higher up than you making it difficult to question their actions and authority on the spot, mobbing your small security station. Clearly they were not expecting a mob to go through doors that they know damn well were off limits to them. Unfortunately the assumption that these guys would follow rules and respect decorum without several armed guards blocking the doors is no longer valid.
